ACME WEAR GAUGES

Instructions for use of MA gauges:

  1. Ensure you are using the proper gauge as identified on the gauge.
  2. Place either side of gauge over the male threads by fingers only.
  3. If any threads are visible at the service end or the gauge goes completely over the fitting, the fitting is out of service and needs to be replaced immediately.
  4. Do not force gauge over fitting.
  5. If gauge is bent or damaged in any way it is out of service as this is a precision instrument.

Instructions for use FA gauges:

  1. Ensure you are using the proper gauge as identified on the gauge.
  2. Place either side of the gauge into the female threads by fingers only.
  3. If gauge bottoms out on connection flange the fitting is out of service and needs to be replaced immediately.
NOTE:  Rarely some female fittings will not allow proper gauging due to the fitting flange projecting out beyond
gauge thickness. In this case remove fitting flange; then gauge female threads as instructed.
  4. Do not force gauge into fitting.
  5. If gauge is bent or damaged in anyway, it is out of service as this is a precision instrument.
